Attitude of Gratitude

Pastor Davis preached a message last night on Thankfulness. He spoke on even thanking God when the doctor tells you something bad is wrong with you! You could have had it worse. He also spoke about an "Attitude of Gratitude". We should be thankful for ALL that God has done in our lives and for our spouses, children, parents and friends! Let us not be unthankful or take any of it for granted.

BE THANKFUL
Author Unknown

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations,
because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge,
because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary,
because it means you've made a difference.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who
are also thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings.

Amen! That has been my attitude over the past several months. My husband has been hurt and things have been pritty rough.Through it all I always knew that God would see our family through it,and he always does what is BEST for us.He may not always give us what we WANT,but always gives us what we NEED.
Although my husband is not saved,I believe that through my faith God has protected him. There were times when he was so discouraged I thought he might go into some kind of depression or something like that.I just kept praying and surly God caught him before he fell.
Through all of these trials we have gone through,we grew closer. So many broken relationships were healed as a result. That`s how I know Gods hand was at work!
There is always a purpose for the trials and shortcommings we experience. We need to remaine faithfull, and obedient to the Lord and he will bless us!We must always remember to lay up our treasures in Heaven and to look upon God`s promises to get us through the tough times.Even if we continue to have one trial after another, remember what Jesus said!He is preparing a place for us.The things of this world are only "things"!
I hope that this comment brings encouragement, joy, and hope to all who read it!!
