~Christmas Dinner Menu~

I've been planning out my Christmas dinner menu for about a week now and still planning! I like to test the recipes first before I make them on Christmas Day, so that prolongs the process. I finally found an awesome Sweet Potato Casserole recipe! It is the BEST Sweet Potato Casserole that I've ever tasted (sorry Mom!). You can find it here.

Meal
  • Smoked Ham
  • Mac n' cheese
  • Cajun Fried Okra (this is a Christmas tradition in our home)
  • Sweet Potato Casserole
  • Croissants
  • Mashed Potatoes
Desserts

  • Pumpkin pie
  • Coconut Creme pie
  • An assortment of cookies from frosted Christmas cookies to gingerbread men (me and my daughter do this together)
  • Fudge (chocolate with nuts fudge and peanut butter fudge)
  • Nordstrom Nordy Bars

Anyone else like to share some good Christmas recipes or their meal this year?

One of our things that we make every holiday is pigs in a blanket we make them with hillshire farms lil smokies with cheddar and cressent rolls. No matter what else we have we always make these. And are gone normally in two days.
Simce my mother-in-law taught me how to make homemade mash potatoes I will never make boxed ones again.

I love pigs in a blanket, too, british lady.

It sounds as if you put a LOT of thought into your menu. It sounds wonderful. Thanks for posting the link to your mom's sweet potato casserole.

Thanks for your comment Jolynna!

The sweet potato casserole recipe wasn't my mom's, it was from about.com.
