Before/After 3rd Bedroom Closet Organize/Declutter

These are actually from the first week of January but I'm just now getting around to editing and uploading them. I did a video, but with my new camera that is HD, it takes a loooonng time to upload them and it just isn't worth it. I am thinking of just uploading a lower quality version, so maybe later. In the meantime, here are pictures. You will notice that I removed the black storage unit on the right out of the closet, we are using it elsewhere in the house. I also got rid of a lot of stuff and then stacked the blue bins in the back of closet so now its easier to go in there and get what we need for homeschool or crafts, etc.

I also used a cheap $6 clear/white shoe organizer to house a lot of our craft supplies - it is really handy!

Anyways I was wondering does your daughter take care of her hair like you? You take such great care of your hair from what I read. I was just wondering does she do some of the same things as you or do you take care of her hair for her?. I ask because I have a 2 1/2yo & 1yo daughter and I want them to learn to take good care of their glory. But their hair is so fine that I'm not sure how to take care of it. Christian Homekeeper said...: I do care for my daughter's hair very cautiously but she doesn't do all that I do....yet. When she was a toddler, I simply washed her hair with a tear-free shampoo/conditioner. Now, she uses the same shampoo and conditioner that I do. She doesn't have oil glands open yet on her scalp, so it doesn't get greasy. I do use the coconut oil treatments on her, when she lets me lol. She hates having it on her hair, so sometimes I just do the ends.

I've never cut her hair, not even trimmed, so her hair is very long. I don't blow-dry or curl her hair, unless its with no-heat, but she prefers it straight. She has very fine, thin hair like me, so we have to take extra care.

Christian Homekeeper said...: LOL, too funny, ours is a 1997 but I have no idea what brand or type it is - we rent it. It is the same year, so maybe it is the same. Ours is a 3bd, 2bath. Every room has a walk-in closet but they are all different layouts.; 12:08 AM
Joyful Christian Homemaking said...: Oh wow, that's really cool. Since we have the same closet and the same year, yours is probably a Clayton, too. Clayton is one of the biggest manufactured home makers, and IMO the best.

We own ours. We drove by it one day, for sale, and I felt led to lay my hand on it, and pray "Dear Lord, this is my house, in Jesus' name, Amen." God graciously granted my prayer. After that, things rolled in, and suddenly we had the money for a down payment. Less than a year later, we had the house completely paid off.

I absolutely LOVE my house.

Mine is 1200 square feet, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom. Each room has a walk in closet, but two of the bedrooms the walk in closets are barely walk in - they are smaller. My bedroom has two large walk in closets - a His and Hers. The master bathroom has a nice garden tub and separate shower.

I have an awesome laundry room off of the kitchen. My kitchen has a nice pantry, which I love.

Before owning this house, we owned and lived in a RV for several months. Before that, we had previously owned two five-bedroom brick houses. I must tell you, I like the Clayton better than all of those.

Christian Homekeeper said...: Thank you! I don't have a home tour, sorry. We don't have his/hers closets in the master but that would be nice. We do have the garden tub in the master bath though. Our pantry is actually a divider between the living and dining rooms - it just sits in the middle really but sections off the rooms. It is a walk-in pantry, so it is one of my favorite parts too! :)

Our Beliefs in a Nutshell

The Basics

- Trinitarian - God the Father, God the Son & God the Holy Spirit

- Salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ, not works

- Holy Spirit baptism is subsequent to the new birth and evidenced by speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance

- Water baptism is to show an outward reflection of an inward work

- We must live holy lives and continue in the faith

- Our good works show others our walk with God (fruit tells you what kind of tree), not that works make us saved

The Family Unit

- Women's role is to be a keeper at home

- Husband is the leader or head of the home

- Marriage is for 2 to become one in a perfect union and for procreation to raise up children in the Lord (they are HIS reward)

- Keep our children unspotted from the world by training them up in the way they should go - we homeschool to instill these Godly values

- Abortion or devices that mimic it are murder in the sight of the Lord

Finances

- A tenth of ALL our increase goes to God; which has ordained the church to handle as it sees fit for the furtherance of the gospel

- We must be good stewards of all that God gives us - from money to taking care of this earth through recycling, living frugal and not wasting

- Not having a love of money or mindset to get rich but rather being thankful for what we have; contentment

- Trusting in God to supply ALL our needs, he will never fail, no matter the circumstance!

Modesty & Appearance

- CLEAR distinction of the sexes and attire of each: dresses for women and pants for men

- Long Hair is a woman's glory and her covering and sign of submission to her head and for the angels

- Attire must be modest: loose fitting, not revealing or showing of the thighs, etc.

- Showing shamefacedness and being chaste with an unpainted face or other adornments

- Not having masculine behavior as a woman but feminine and men are not to be effiminate but rather masculine - again CLEAR distinction of the sexes which God intended

Worldliness

- Not involving oneself in the entertainments of this world that have the appearance of evil; keep oneself unspotted from this world and its enticements

- Definitely not a part of worldly establishments such as bars, clubs and such like that are dens of sin and all manner of evil

- Loving the world and its fashions and mentality is strictly forbidden in the Bible - we must be separate and "come out from among them"

There is more but this would get pretty long if I included them all - so basically we believe the FULL gospel!
