I'm Pregnant!

I was keeping this quiet and only telling a few family and friends but my mom made a good point today - why keep it secret when you could tell people and have them all praying for you and the baby? Mom is right, why keep things secret and worry over miscarriage, when I can just have my friends and family praying for me that I won't miscarry? So........I'm pregnant and please pray for me and the baby (or babies).

I may actually be almost 9 weeks already or carrying multiples, but I won't know for sure till I have an ultrasound. So for now, we are going by me being in my 5th week. I'm already showing and even my friends noticed my belly - it popped this past week and I didn't have this happen with my first child, so this is new to me. I've also been growing in other places and it is all so fast. Though I've not gained any weight and don't have much of an appetite. I'm extremely fatigued and my house is a MESS - no joke......here is proof:

You all may remember this was my freezer cooking week, well....by Tuesday midday - I was so fatigued I couldn't finish and since then I've been laying down dead-dog tired and the dishes have sat there waiting for a washer to come along lol! I drank a chai tea today to give me energy to get the house back in order, but it is high time I teach my daughter to do some dishes!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I am SO excited for you and your family!!! I will pray for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby or babies for you! It is so important to rest when you need to-the house can wait. It may not be up to your standards, but it really doesn't look too bad. It's a great idea to teach your little girl how to help more! My little girl will be six next week and I am trying so hard to have more patience with letting her help with my chores and making them "our" chores. Sometimes it is just easier to do them myself.; 9:55 PM

I need to start implementing more time saving and frugal ideas. Yeah, I am actually inspired to cook us up some freezer meals this month!

I've been so moody lately that I don't want to be around myself LOL!!!! =0 My daughter grabbed me the other day and prayed that God would let her old mommy come back LOL. It was hilarious but wow, talk about crazy hormones and mood swings, I don't remember this when I was pregnant with Katie but then again it was just me and Nate - I didn't have responsibility of another child. This is proving quite the challenge and one I'm learning and growing with already! God is working out some things in me already and I'm barely just started whew!; 11:54 PM

Megan said...: Congratulations Bev! I was so excited to read this! You will definitely be in my prayers. My girl is 7mths now and the time has flown! As others have said, try not to worry about the dishes etc, (i know easier said than done).
P.s i remember the mattress story and thought that was not like you, lol!

Megan - I finally got some energy back this week and was able to do light cleaning yesterday. Last week was the hardest as I pretty much was laying down for 3 days. Hubby ended up cleaning on Saturday to help me out, he is a great man!! Katie also pitched in, so it helped to know they will be my help!; 11:50 AM

Our Beliefs in a Nutshell

The Basics

- Trinitarian - God the Father, God the Son & God the Holy Spirit

- Salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ, not works

- Holy Spirit baptism is subsequent to the new birth and evidenced by speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance

- Water baptism is to show an outward reflection of an inward work

- We must live holy lives and continue in the faith

- Our good works show others our walk with God (fruit tells you what kind of tree), not that works make us saved

The Family Unit

- Women's role is to be a keeper at home

- Husband is the leader or head of the home

- Marriage is for 2 to become one in a perfect union and for procreation to raise up children in the Lord (they are HIS reward)

- Keep our children unspotted from the world by training them up in the way they should go - we homeschool to instill these Godly values

- Abortion or devices that mimic it are murder in the sight of the Lord

Finances

- A tenth of ALL our increase goes to God; which has ordained the church to handle as it sees fit for the furtherance of the gospel

- We must be good stewards of all that God gives us - from money to taking care of this earth through recycling, living frugal and not wasting

- Not having a love of money or mindset to get rich but rather being thankful for what we have; contentment

- Trusting in God to supply ALL our needs, he will never fail, no matter the circumstance!

Modesty & Appearance

- CLEAR distinction of the sexes and attire of each: dresses for women and pants for men

- Long Hair is a woman's glory and her covering and sign of submission to her head and for the angels

- Attire must be modest: loose fitting, not revealing or showing of the thighs, etc.

- Showing shamefacedness and being chaste with an unpainted face or other adornments

- Not having masculine behavior as a woman but feminine and men are not to be effiminate but rather masculine - again CLEAR distinction of the sexes which God intended

Worldliness

- Not involving oneself in the entertainments of this world that have the appearance of evil; keep oneself unspotted from this world and its enticements

- Definitely not a part of worldly establishments such as bars, clubs and such like that are dens of sin and all manner of evil

- Loving the world and its fashions and mentality is strictly forbidden in the Bible - we must be separate and "come out from among them"

There is more but this would get pretty long if I included them all - so basically we believe the FULL gospel!
