March-June Freezer Cooking Day 1 Video

We did the spaghetti/pizza sauces on Friday and then assembled the lasagnas, but the rest is from today (Monday).  I made a LOT of spaghetti sauce, I wanted extra for next month's lasagna so I don't have to make it then.  I also made extra pizza sauce since I needed to use up as much tomato paste as I could from the 112oz can.  It all stored nicely in the freezer above the fridge with space for more items.  Then, I made 4 batches of hummus and froze one to see how it does in the freezer.

What a wonderful video.I love to see videos of others cooking in the kitchen preparing wonderful meals to nourish their families with. My family and I have never tried garbanzo beans and just watching your video has peeked my interest in that I make just go and buy some to see if they would like them. Are there any other ways that you can fix them besides humus?

You can put the garbanzo, also called chickpeas in salads but I don't like the smell of them lol. For some reason when made into hummus they take on a new smell and taste that I can handle. Could just be me, but you would have to try them for yourself and find out. I'm trying a new recipe with them and vegetables that makes patties and we'll see how it turns out.

We we try them I will let you know how we like them. Since my menu plan is made out for the rest of the week we are going to put them in next week menu plan.

What kind of containers are you using to store your sauce in - it's hard to tell on the picture but they look like they stack up very nicely.

I'm pregnant as well and curious to try batch cooking for freezing. I'm still working full time, though, but I am praying that I can be a stay at home after the baby is born, so I can happily fulfill my duty as God has intended it for me.
I have read so many of your posts over the last few days, I love your blog and your views - your blog has been very helpful on my journey to becoming a good christian wife to my husband. I literally just started being this close to God a few weeks ago, I feel like he has callen me back to Him and I am very thankful for it. In time I will also hopefully get to work on my blog again to reflect the recent changes I have been going through.

Anyways, rambling will stop here - I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your inspiring posts! They have been very very helpful!

I use the Ball freezer containers, they sell them at Walmart and I love them! I also use them for jam.

So glad that something I wrote is helping you in some way!
