I have been exercising regularly - doing weights and walking and prenatal pilates. I should be able to continue throughout my whole pregnancy. I can only gain 15 pounds, as I'm "obese." I don't see how a size 14 is obese but that is what I am, go figure. I was losing weight, then I got my appetite back and have been eating in spurts and my weight went up, but now it is back to where I started. Generally, being obese, I shouldn't gain anything until the 2nd trimester, so between cravings - I'm trying to eat really clean. My belly has been sticking out for 2 weeks now and it was all of the sudden. I will find out on Friday if they will do an ultrasound to see if I'm a month farther or have twins. Or, I could just be having a normal 2nd pregnancy as they say your 2nd one shows quicker. The illustration of a blowing up a balloon helps understand this. When a balloon has already been inflated once, it will inflate quicker the 2nd time. That is much like the uterus and mine inflated HUGE with my first lol! I gained 60 pounds with her but I do NOT plan on doing that this time for sure!
Today marks the end of my 6th week, I hope to update in the future and hopefully post if I have the energy.

My doctor told me that all those nagging symptoms are a sign of a healthy pregnancy :) I think its so interesting how every pregnancy can be completely different... my first was a typical pregnancy, my second was a difficult pregnancy but easy birth and my third I didn't even feel or look pregnant - lol
Bev,
I was just wondering how you were feeling! I had to laugh at gaining only 15 pounds because you're considered "obese" at a size 14!!! That is insane, lol! I will keep you and that sweet baby or babies in my prayers!
Tricia
Thanks Tay and Tricia! :)
Praying for you....
I showed quicker with all my pregnancies after my first. I know the nausea isn't fun, but rejoice that you have it. The one pregnancy where I didn't have it, I lost the baby in miscarriage. Nausea tells you that your hormones are right on, and things are going well. ;-)
I would have nausea and vomiting until about half way through my pregnancies. I would literally carry a large "sick cup" with me everywhere I went, and I could "blow" at any time. :-? In my last pregnancy, I discovered Altoids. I hate those things, but they sure helped (sometimes) with the nausea.
In all my healthy pregnancies, nausea kicked right in at about 5 weeks along. If your nausea has just kicked in, then you are probably about as far along as you think. On the other hand, if your nausea started earlier than four weeks, then you are probably further along, or carrying twins. ;-)
I'm so happy for your new bun in the oven. Such a blessing.
Thanks gotjoy and Joyful Christian Homemaking! :)
I'm so excited for you and your growing family. What an amazing time. I know how you have desired and prayed for this little life. Praying that you feel better soon and that God will give you the strength to accomplish what you need and joy in all things(despite the sickness and pain) in this precious journey! Congrats again, Bev!
Thanks Alicia!! :)
