Since we are on the topic of Abortion........

A quote from Obama:

A woman shouldn't have to be "PUNISHED with a baby"

My Bible tells me what God thinks about children (see my post about that HERE) and I'm BLESSED to have them!!!!!! CHILDREN ARE A BLESSING!!

Psalm 127:3

Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward

Not only are children a heritage of the Lord but they are esteemed highly by God:

Psalm 127:4-5

As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them.....

I can't wait to see my pregnancy test read positive for a baby! I long for this, God has designed women for this very PURPOSE and I gladly assume my role as to "bear children" and guide my house! You don't have to ask what God's will is for you as a woman, he has already told us what it is in His WORD:

1 Timothy 5:14

I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

I fully agree that children are not a burden to be dealt with but a gift from God. I have spoken on this subject myself.

Hi, Bev. My views on children have changed over the years. I have grown to look at them in love, as a blessing in most aspects of life and a gift from God. But when I first got married I didn't view children in the same light that God does, maybe because I was young, inexperienced, and thought that I knew best when God thought it was the right time to bring forth offspring. I don't think it began to sink in until I had the third child. That's probably where people start drawing the line on how convenient having children really is. There are many good excuses for women not to fulfill their calling as young married women, but I think most would be hard to bring up before God.

A man who was interested in marrying me told me that he did not want children (a deal breaker for me) but then went further to say that his pastor considered children to be a nuisance and that they got in the way of serving God and doing his work. Huh? Since when is that anywhere in the Bible? I called it quits right away - no way did I want to marry a man unwilling to let God bless us with children. I'm so blessed to have found my husband - he is SUCH a good daddy! (Not to mention a wonderful husband.)

Sorry to hear that Anonymous but then also glad to hear you have a good husband now! It's not in the Bible and many people do a work for God with children, even some missionaries!
