I just saw this wonderful story on this elementary school in CA and I can't wait to sign up my daughter to go there! Isn't it great? Teaching kindergartners to celebrate homesexuality and stand with them in pride, yes proud to be a homosexual, what a wonderful Kindergarten class to be a part of!! Where can I sign her up??

Why raise your child and teach them correct morals and principles when you can just let daycares and public schools teach their immorals and principles to them instead? Ya, I don't have time to homeschool my children, they need the "socialization" that public schools give! I want my children to be just like the rest of them good ole' kids! And you know what, they need a myspace to fit in, I can't take that away from them you know? And dear ole' Sally, well you know she is a teenager and they wear tight revealing things and its ok, she doesn't mean anything by it. Oh and its ok if she kissed her best friend, everyone needs to know what it feels like and don't forget the song "I kissed a girl and I liked it". That is on my daughter's playlist like for sure! Gotta let her explore and find herself........

NOT!!!!! Eeek.....of course I'm being sarcastic and facetious, this is making me want to vomit my just eaten chocolate swiss rolls! How dare they threaten the upchuck of my beloved chocolate therapy!!

There is another verse that talks about things against nature, it talks on hair!

WOW, satan really loves making men look like women and women look like men.......he loves to BLUR the lines don't he? As I've said before, I will remain looking as CLOSE to a woman as I can and as FAR from a man as I can, a clear distinction of the sexes! It goes against NATURE, we all know what is feminine and we all know what is masculine, how about acting like your gender for a change? Hmm NOW there is some food for thought!

My Babies are in Heaven

Thank you for all the prayers, but my babies beat me to Heaven lol. I'm in pretty bad pain and passing a lot of things but we will try again in the future, I just need some time before we do.

Update

An accident happened Tuesday night, a shopping cart got rammed into my pelvic area. I then had some spotting and awoke this morning to more spotting and pain. Just returned from the doctor's office and they had talked to us about miscarriage. We have to wait till Friday morning to get some test results back and go from there. They want to monitor my hcg levels to see if they continue to go up or if they go down, it would indicate a miscarriage.

I'm Pregnant! :)

I already knew I was a while ago because I can feel it! Just needed the test to say so, so I can go to the doctor. I got a very very faint line a few days ago and then my 2nd test I took last night, I got a faint pink line.

Please Pray for My Grandmother!

I ask all to pray for my Grandmother right now. She had seizures and on the way to the hospital she stopped breathing but then came back to (thank the Lord!). She is currently in ICU and can't talk to anyone, before she had a seizure my Grandfather tried to talk to her this morning and she couldn't respond and then he called 911.

I may be flying home soon. Please keep us all in your prayers!  Pray that she accepts Jesus before its too late.

As Promised.........Decor Photos

We aren't finished and my bookshelf could stand a few more books lol, but I'm working on it and then we will be putting a computer armoire over behind the couch on that wall. Also I plan on getting more wall hangings and then of course the dining room is not done......I still need 3 more chairs! Imagine 6 chairs there and then some wall art.  (However, the dining room will be the 'homeschool' room next fall!  We are going to be put up a chalkboard and dry erase board, along with a computer armoire for my daughter's schooling.  The table goes together allowing more space in the dining room.)

So for $1800, we got a REAL leather sofa and chairs, coffee table, dining room table, etc.  We love IKEA and one day hopefully we can afford West Elm decor!!

#1 Cause of "Death" for African Americans

Most people haven't even stopped to think about this, and I had read it before here, but it wasn't until I saw the video today here, that I knew I was going to blog about this. I had read a while back that the #1 cause for deaths among the African American population has been ABORTION since 1973 and was shocked at that! The numbers are staggering! 13 million African American babies have been killed through abortion! (Notice how the CDC lists abortion as a cause of DEATH....if it was put in statistics as a DEATH then it had to have been alive at once right?? At least the CDC has counted those LIVES in statistics as people!)

For the abortionists (a.k.a. murderers) out there, you are SELFISH and you may get away with murder here, but not when you stand before God! Then you will be punished for NOT having that baby but murdering it! So if you think a little selfishness here is worth an eternity in hell.......I feel sorry for you!

The Re-Decoration Story

I've been through more decor in the past 8 years than probably most of you have been through in your entire life!  I have always liked the modern look and that is what my Air Force dorm was decorated in.  My room back home even was always a bit on the 'crazy' side lol.  I had BRIGHT yellow walls and multi-colored accessories and I had designed it myself much to my mom's disliking.

Then when I got married, I figured I would have to decorate like my mom and sisters and so worked with what we had in our first apartment and I was a 'country bumpkin'!  Apples in my kitchen, etc.  Although it just wasn't me, I figured this was what I was 'supposed' to do.  Then I came to the place where I wasn't going to decorate my home with what other people's home looked like but rather something I liked myself!  So after being married for about 2 years, we redecorated in BLACK modern decor with leopard print thrown in.  I really liked it until......

I received comments and jokes about how "dark" it was and I was never sure if they were serious or just making fun of for no harm.  After I had my daughter, I had postpartum depression and figured it must be the dark furniture that everyone had joked about!!  So what did I do??

I went shabby chic!  LOL  I got a pink couch, all pastel colors throughout my house and lots of roses.  My husband actually didn't mind and liked it.

Then we moved and came to a new location, to get made fun of again for our decor!!!  Some said it looked like a little girl's room and others even mocked and said "they would never put their husband in a house filled with pink and roses".  I was sad because I had come to this new place and met with so much disdain on what others THOUGHT of my decor!

I let them get to me and put my shabby chic decor away and chose a brown slipcover and "acceptable" style that surely no one would laugh at. 

Then I had a talk with my new Pastor's wife. I told her how I wasn't sure how I should decorate and how others here in this new town I just moved to where making fun of my decor so I took it all down.  To sum up what she told me:  You shouldn't let OTHERS determine what YOUR home looks like!  I had let what others thought of my decor determine my decor!  It was too late though because I had already took the decor down and spent money on another.  But I learned a valuable lesson from my Pastor's wife and one that I practice today!  She is truly a wise woman!!

So fast forward....we finally had the means of getting new furniture and choosing our OWN style that we have always loved....MOD!  We like black and lots of it, with splashes of bold reds and black/white patterns thrown in the mix.  We didn't have much money but we bought what we could on the little budget that I had!  It isn't my "dream" furniture because I don't have $20,000 to spend on decorating lol....but I love it nevertheless and we only spent roughly $1800, and that furnished the living room and dining room!

Someone had asked for me to share pictures of our decor and that is what brought on this post and then I will also be posting the photos of what we have done so far!  Now, I still like a few other decor styles but haven't tried those yet...maybe one day but I will only redecorate because its what I want! ; )

I gotta be pregnant!

If I'm not pregnant, then something is seriously wrong with me lol! Not only have I thrown up once the other day, but I've been nauseous occasionally, tired and having pelvic region pain. Don't want to get too detailed but I feel pregnant!

Hubby says I am pregnant and he can tell HA! I guess I have been crying a lot lately hehe.

I'm waiting for a while before I test because with my daughter, I was 5 weeks pregnant before I even got a VERY faint reading that I was pregnant. Tests before then showed negative, even though I was pregnant with her. So this time, I will just wait it out and have patience till the day comes to test.

You all will be one of the first to know!!!!

I got to thinking, how some even so-called Christians think children are a burden and they gripe and complain about their kids. It makes me sick to hear them talk that way against their OWN children! Sometimes even in front of their children.

My Bible tells me what God thinks about children (see my post about that HERE) and I'm BLESSED to have them!!!!!! CHILDREN ARE A BLESSING!!

I can't wait to see my pregnancy test read positive for a baby! I long for this, God has designed women for this very PURPOSE and I gladly assume my role as to "bear children" and guide my house! You don't have to ask what God's will is for you as a woman, he has already told us what it is in His WORD:

1 Timothy 5:14

I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

Born Alive

I suggest that all take time to watch these videos and understand that Obama is FOR the killing of babies that are BORN ALIVE after an abortion attempt. You will see the story of a woman, who after a failed abortion, was born alive and she tells her story and it is heart-wrenching! She describes her saline abortion and how she was supposed to be dead, but she miracously lived and her life speaks today! Grab some tissues....

You can't tell me that a CHRISTIAN can vote for Obama!!!!! Abortion is murder! Why do they write a death certificate for these babies?? That is a DEATH, so it was a BIRTH also at once! If it isn't a baby, then you aren't pregnant!

I wonder what her "mother" thinks? The mother that tried to kill her through abortion? How can a woman do this to her own child?? There are so many couples who are trying to conceive or are barren and would love to have a child and then you want to murder yours for convenience? What a shame!

Update on the Centerpiece

Thank you for all those who "voted" about the Centerpiece. I got 7 Yays and 3 Nays but then I had even thought myself about taking it back to the store UNTIL my husband was like "WHY!?". He evidently likes it, so we are going to keep it! He likes lighting the candles at dinner. ;)

I have decided on getting 2-color swirled candles. Either a mixture of red/black/white or just black/white. I'm not a foliage person, but I thought of getting something else, to keep with the mod look. The table itself is large, it can seat up to 8 people, but we have it set for 6. So in person, the centerpiece doesn't look too large, I think it was the photo and the angle.

Baby Names

Long ago, my husband and I, decided on a name for a boy:  Bradley (Brad as the nickname).  We are still deciding on the middle name and some names we like are:  Lance, Felix, Dalton, Chase, Everett.

We are praying for a boy for sure but also for twins, a boy AND a girl!  :)  We talked tonight about some girl names and I really love the name Abigail (Abby as a nickname).  However, my husband isn't so set on that name, so we looked through several names and we really like the name Guinevere (Guinn as a nickname).  Other girl names we liked are:  Olivia, Annalise, Vienna, Violet, Felicity.

So after making this list, we are pretty certain the names will be:

Bradley Chase (Brad as nickname)
Guinevere Annalise (Guinn as nickname)

It is Time!

After trying to lose weight for a long time and realizing that I just am not going to do it because I would lose, then gain it back....I have decided to stop trying to lose weight before I get pregnant! It's all vanity anyway right? LOL =0

So we made the decision and this month will be our first month in trying to conceive! Please pray with us that we do conceive right away and for my health and the baby (or babies).

I am BEYOND ready for another child, I have wanted another since my daughter was around 1-2. However, many medical problems got severe in my body preventing the thought of another. But God has healed me of MANY things and just recently he healed me of a 6-month illness that the doctors were still trying to diagnose. I was going to have to have some procedures done and further testing but they are no longer needed!!  I have been healed for 2 weeks now! I feel that the time has come NOW and God is ready to give us another child!

I will let you all know as soon as we know that I'm pregnant.  I also will be showing all my ultrasounds, etc and all that fun pregnancy stuff that I miss so much!!  Oh and did I mention that I love pregnancy clothes?  haha......when can you be happy that your belly sticks out?  You know!?

Not only did this video give my husband and I chills and the "eebie jeebies" but come on people! They are treating Osama, oops.....Obama, like he is some great leader and even going so far as to worship him. Hitler had kids sing about him too.....oh and all the other communist/socialist leaders too. Ever heard kids singing a song of praise of Bush or McCain? Uhm, no because they don't claim to be some heroic Moses prototype to part the waters. God Help America!!!! Yes Jesus Can!

The only person we should sing songs in praise of is JESUS!!!!!!!

Wonderful Weekend Services!

The past few services have been an absolute blessing! Tonight's wasn't an exception! The presence of God filled the House and people's lives got touched and changed! I was thinking about it all tonight, and how BLESSED we are (me and my husband...well the rest of you too hehe) to have a church that actually stands for the FULL Word of God! Not only that, but to have a Pastor (or 2 or 3 or 4....ok you get the idea), who loves us SOOOOO much that he dedicates his LIFE to helping others make it to Heaven!

Just to feel the awesome presence of God in the singing and feeling like you could just float into the air while you are singing "He Set Me Free!" You can't get that a lot of places and I KNOW! I've been to several and I for the life of me, can't understand why someone would go to a church that was dead and couldn't excited even if Jesus had walked in the room! No thanks!

Pastor was preaching on the Bands of Bondage and what "true" bondage really is. Speaking on how the commandments of God are not grievous! (1 John 5:3) It is sin......that is not only grievous but BONDAGE! When I got saved, God broke those "Bands of Bondage" of sin........and gave me liberty in Christ!

I remember the heavy weight of sin and the bondage it was that no matter how hard I tried, I could not quit sinning. But when Jesus took over and I was born again.........what happened?? This verse explains it well:

2 Corinthians 5:17-18

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God.....

WOW lookee there!! Its in the Bible even, yet some people; churches won't even preach it over the pulpit!! Preach what? That OLD things pass away........then ALL THINGS become new and guess what, all you drinkers and fornicators out there, sorry but ALL THINGS are of GOD!

1 John 5:3

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

For some people, doing what is in the Bible to them IS grievous because they aren't truly saved! I honestly, did NOT find what I read in God's word to be grievous. God had said it.......I had read it and then I acted upon it. I didn't have to wait for some "feeling"! God said this was the way it was to be and I had no qualms about it!

What about those that "struggle" with God's commandments? There is a struggle (or battle) because they are fighting God's will against their own will! It wouldn't be a struggle if they would just let GO and do what God told them to do!

No one had to tell me about worldly music when I got saved. I remember when I got saved, going back to my room and throwing away all my worldly music! No one told me to throw it away, it wasn't preached about to me that caused it, I simply KNEW what had to go now that I gave my life to God! Other times, it did take the preaching of God's word to prick my heart and then God deal with me and then other changes took place - its called progressive sanctification. However, I didn't find them hard to do once I knew it was God's will!

So what a weekend! Thinking about when God saved me back in December 1999 and all he brought me out of! All fired up for the week ahead and I've got something to SHOUT about! Hallelujah!

Centerpiece; Yay or Nay?

I've been trying to find something that looks good as a centerpiece on our table.  (FYI: We finally bought new furniture!)  I bought this candelabra the other day and don't have all the candles for it but wanted to know what you all think?  Does it look good or not?  Yes, you can voice your opinions on this post! =0  Ignore the elliptical in the background, it is for sale though on my virtual yard sale blog!  I also left the tag on the candelabra, in case it doesn't work out. 

 

 

Also, if you think it looks good, what color should the candles be?  My color scheme is black, red, and white.  Thanks for the feedback!

4 Bag Laundry Sorter

I love my Laundry Sorter! I bought it a little while ago and it is one of my favorite things for homekeeping now. Not only are the bags super sturdy, but they are each their own bag that can be lifted by the handles and taken wherever you need them. Also, because each bag is separated on its own, it can hold more weight than some I have seen where all the bags are connected. I was amazed that each bag could fit just as much as one my normal laundry baskets! It is also chrome and not plastic, which makes it more durable and thus would last you a lot longer than some of those cheap plastic sorters.

It also has wheels and is easy to move around the house. However, I keep mine in the laundry room because I find it fits best there and is right across from my washer, so all I have to do is grab a load from a bag and wash. I've shown my husband what each bag is for and he has been using the system and no longer do I have to sort through piles of clothes on laundry day!

We keep our towels in the bathroom in their own laundry basket, because I don't want to put wet towels in my cloth laundry bags! Also for kitchen rags and cleaning rags, I have always kept those under the sink in a bucket and when its full, I wash them. I normally do laundry on Monday's, so once a week.

I highly recommend this Laundry Bag Sorter. It is made by Mainstays and sold at Wal-Mart. It was just a little over $30 but has already proven to be money well spent!

Cash Crate New Policies

Cash Crate has changed a few things, for starters you can now get your payments through Paypal!  I've already switched from getting checks to getting paid through Paypal.

The other change I was not so happy about.  They have changed the minimum payout to $20, it used to be just $10.  So to get a check, you first have to earn $20.  I'm earning a lot from my referrals, so thank you whoever you 35 people are!

A Crown to Your Husband

Proverbs 12:4

A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

Proverbs 31:11

The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

What do these Scriptures portray a Godly wife to be? A "crown" to her husband? Did you realize that you have the opportunity to be a crown for your husband? Either a crown of honor or a crown of thorns!! With our lips, our actions and our attitudes we can be a crown that honors him and builds him up, sparkling with the radiance of many precious jewels or we can be a crown that is painful, sharp, tears him down and offers only shame.

Many women complain that their husbands refuse to be the spiritual leaders in the home. This may be true, but I would have to wonder if these dear ladies are truly and honestly willing to humbly submit, removing the "crown" from their own prideful head and sacrificially becoming a crown of honor for their husband's. It's difficult to become a crown for my husband if I'm too busy polishing the large and heavy crown of pride on my own selfish head!

Psalm 141:3

Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

Have you ever had a visit with a couple where the husband was trying to tell a story and the wife rolled her eyes and corrected her husband every few minutes? "No, it was 4:00 NOT 6:00." "No, THAT is NOT how it happened!" "They don't want to hear you ramble on and on about THAT, get to the point!" "Why do you always say that, that's not true!" Don't you just wince? If it brings you pain just witnessing the scene, imagine the pain and damage it brings to the husband and his ability to properly lead that family! Those were extreme examples, but I have seen it happen many, many times and sadly I have been guilty of it, to some degree myself!

"The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her...." Oh what a joy for a wife to know that her husband safely trusts in her. How about you? Does your husband know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that when you have a friend over for coffee, all the words of your mouth will be edifying and honoring towards him? Does he know that when he invites others to his home, that you will honor and respect him while visiting with other families? Does he *trust* you to be graceful when he makes a mistake or stumbles over his words or is he nervous and in constant fear of your public ridicule if he accidentally ends his sentence in a preposition!

Sisters, we are designed to be a helper to our husbands. If you had an important project to complete, would you appreciate a helper that "delayed" your work, one that continually tried to be the boss, or that undermined your leadership with sarcasm or suspicion? You would most likely rather do the job ALONE! Could this be why many marriages have difficulties with "oneness?" Wouldn't it bring much glory and honor to the Lord if we could repent of any selfish pride that we've allowed into our lives? I pray that we may purpose in our hearts right now, to obey God and to submit respectfully to our husbands, to honor him and allow God to transform us into a beautiful crown that fits perfectly on our own husbands' head!
