The Housewife

T here was a housewife I once knew Who had so much work that she wanted to do. She had eight loads of laundry to wash and to dry, Five beds to make and groceries to buy. Library books three years overdue, She thought, "Go to the library? No, let's go to the zoo." "Hurray!" cried her children. But, alas, they stayed home. The eight loads of laundry had all the clothes that they owned. She had dishes from dinner the night before And gum to scrape off the kitchen floor. And just as she knelt to scrape up the gum, She thought about popcorn and she wanted some. So she got out the popper; it was full of rice. And she thought to herself, "It would be nice To get out the pictures of my wedding dress," But she couldn't find them because of the mess In her living room where she kept a shelf Full of books on how to improve herself. So she picked out a book and she sat and she read. And she thought to herself, "I'll take a nap instead." So she s

Attire of a Harlot or a Christian?

Proverbs 7:10-11 "And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot , and subtil of heart.  She is loud and stubborn;" Jesus said you can tell what a tree is by the fruit it bears; by looking at it and seeing it for yourself.  Solomon, one of the wisest men to ever live - could tell the type of woman by her clothing/attire.  It isn't any different today.  You see so much nakedness even going to the store, you can't get away from it. It is expected from sinners but how about the women who dress like harlots and call themselves Christians?  Do you wear the attire of a harlot?   Are you exposing your nakedness to the world in hopes some man will lust after your cleavage line?  Do you wear pants so you can show off your shape and rear end to excite lust in men or in the hopes you will get "checked out"?  You aren't a Christian........your heart is wicked and deceitful.  There is no shamefacedness about you but rather showfacedness!   You

United States of America Pledge of Allegiance

Since some need a refresher course on the United States code , I'm posting the pledge of allegiance and also the proper personal rendering in reverence to this great nation that is under the Almighty God! The Pledge: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God , indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart . When not in uniform men should remove any non-religious headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should remain silent, face the flag, and render the military salute.

Motherhood Introduction

This is a short introduction to the new series I'm starting on Motherhood. This isn't a popular topic in today's society for the modern woman. She could do without this role and would rather have wealth, success in worldly avenues and supposed equality with man in the workplace. She is out for numero uno and how dare a role of raising children come in the way of her wants and desires. And even if it does, she refuses to raise them herself or let them interfere with her life and her pursuits. She will go so far as to murder them before they even have the chance of being birthed, give them away, or if she does go through with the birth and keeps them, she will find some way to dump them on another while she continues with "her" life. For the Godly woman it is a much different story! Not only does she pray for her womb to be blessed by the Creator, she will be in much sorrow if she finds she is barren. She grieves for children, a desire that God put within

Growing Hair Long Challenge Update #4

It's been a while since I  updated and reason being I didn't think my hair has grown but I was wrong.  I measured it today for the first time since March and it has grown 3 inches but I also lost inches from my old (2) perms breaking off.  My new growth is now 16 inches and the rest is permed and total length is 38 inches .  If my estimates are right, I lost 4 inches to breakage and grew 3 inches.  So the growth is growing quickly but my damaged permed portion is also breaking quickly as expected.  This year I have grown 5 inches of silky healthy straight hair - at this rate by the end of December the new growth should reach around 4 more inches for a total of 20 inches of new growth since my last perm!  That's also with being very sick this year from Feb-April.  Still not back to where I was before the perms at 50 inches but we are getting there!  I've been doing my hair differently - which I don't like doing because I'm using heat on my new growth, but

Quotes from Francois de La Rochefoucauld

"Why is it that our memory is good enough to retain the least triviality that happens to us, and yet not good enough to recollect how often we have told it to the same person?" "However brilliant an action, it should not be esteemed great unless the result of a great motive." "Before we set our hearts too much upon anything, let us examine how happy those are who already possess it." "Few are agreeable in conversation, because each thinks more of what he intends to say than of what others are saying, and listens no more when he himself has a chance to speak." "It is often merely for an excuse that we say things are impossible." "Jealousy feeds upon suspicion, and it turns into fury or it ends as soon as we pass from suspicion to certainty." "No persons are more frequently wrong, than those who will not admit they are wrong."

Monthly Energy Costs

Here are the results of the poll for Summer monthly energy costs: $0-35 2 (9%) $35-45 0 (0%) $45-60 1 (4%) $60-80 1 (4%) $80 and above 17 (80%) We can see that the majority spends $80 a month during the Summer months on energy costs. Of course this wasn't based on whether you live in an apartment or house or even square footage. What I was trying to get a view of was if most people spent $80 or more. We have 1400 square foot home and our energy costs are at the most - $60 a month . It used to be higher when we lived in a smaller, 700sq foot, 2 bedroom apartment believe it or not! I have found many things to do to save electricity and also moving into a place that is very well lit, saves on having to use the lights during the day! Here some things that we do to save on energy costs: Switch your light bulbs to the new energy saving bulbs . We did this a long time ago and noticed the difference in energy costs! Don't use lights during the day . We have sky
